NB Pharma Inc. (hereinafter “NB Pharma” or “we”) respects the confidentiality of your information and is committed to protecting it by complying with this policy.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect the personal information of our customers and the personal information of users (“you”) of our website (the “Site”), as well as emails and other electronic messages exchanged with you, and any customer service interactions we have with you.

 

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When accepted, cookies allow us to collect technical data such as your IP address, your location, and information about your browsing behavior and site use.

We also collect personal data such as your name, licence number and email address when you interact with us, for example, when you log in, ask a question, make a complaint, submit a spontaneous application or respond to a job offer.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we use your personal information for the purposes for which you provided it to us or that were described at the time of its collection, or for any other purpose for which you provided it, in order to provide you with administrative information, improve our services or meet any other requirements under applicable law.

 

HOW DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION?

To the extent permitted by applicable law, your personal information may be disclosed to:

- Our employees who need access to it in the performance of their duties, including our parent company or our subsidiaries, where applicable;

- Our service providers (companies that operate on behalf of NB Pharma) and/or a Third Party that helps us (i) provide you with our products and services, (ii) maintain and improve our Site (iii) manage our business and (iv) for compliance purposes. Your personal information disclosed to these service providers and/or a Third Party is reasonably necessary for the performance of their contracts with NB Pharma.

- NB Pharma may securely share some of your information with Third Parties after de-identifying your personal information, where permitted by law.

- In the event of a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, bankruptcy or insolvency, NB Pharma may sell, transfer or share all or part of its assets, including personal customer information to the new purchaser, successor or assignee as a business asset.

 

RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

 

NB Pharma only retains your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to accomplish the purpose for which it was collected for or to meet legal requirements. Even if you have ceased to do business with us, or have asked us to delete your personal information, NB Pharma may still retain your Personal Information for the applicable time limits to comply with our legal obligations (e.g. tax reasons, legal reporting and audit obligations).

NB Pharma must then destroy or anonymize your personal information. Destruction and anonymization are carried out using secure methods, according to the applicable best practices.

In general, we store, access and use your Personal Information in Canada.  However, some of our service providers and/or Third Parties may be located outside of Canada.

 

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Each customer is responsible for updating their personal information by contacting us as soon as possible after any changes.

You may access the personal information we have collected about you, correct it and withdraw your consent, where applicable, except where the law allows us to deny access, in whole or in part, depending on the circumstances.

We will attempt to respond to each of your written requests within thirty (30) days of receipt or any other period required by law, and if we are unable to do so within that time, we will notify you in writing.

Applicable law may authorize or require us to deny you access to all or part of the personal information that we hold about you or that we may have destroyed, erased or anonymized in accordance with our records retention obligations and practices. Subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions, if we are unable to provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons for refusal.

AMENDMENTS TO OUR POLICY

This policy may be amended from time to time in accordance with applicable law. In such a case, we will issue the revised Privacy Policy with the date of the “last update.” If there are significant changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the home page of the Site.
